To rent a van at Heathrow with Fairview Vehicle Hire, you need:

• A full, valid photo driving licence (which permits you to drive the category of van you wish to hire).
• A DVLA check code (so we can see your driving record for eligibility purposes).
• A credit card or debit card in your name (for your deposit and hire).
• Proof of address, dated within the last 3 months (if paying by debit card).

Please note that you must have held your driving licence for at least two years on the date your hire begins.

Van hire excess insurance is not legally required, but is highly recommended. As standard, Fairview provides third-party liability insurance with each hire van we stock. Fortunately, we also supply Premium Protection and Collision Damage Wavers. We offer these add-ons to mitigate your expenses if you accidentally damage your van.

Fairview’s Collision Damage Waiver reduces your vehicle excess to only £500. Our Standard Protection includes valet cover and £300 excess per incident of damage or theft. And finally, our Premium Protection minimises your liability to £100 excess per incident. Premium Protection includes the same benefits as our Standard Protection. But you also receive the added advantage of windscreen cover and unlimited mileage. You can rent a van at Heathrow Airport using a debit card with Fairview Vehicle Hire. To enable debit card payments, we require stricter background checks than you may be used to. These extra verifications include proof of address, return travel tickets and a slightly higher deposit. This process ensures total security in your booking and offers the payment flexibility you need.

Fairview Vehicle Hire offers same-day van hire at Heathrow Airport. Using our online booking form, you can arrange your van hire for pickup in as little as 15 minutes. There may be a short wait when you arrive at our Bray branch, to allow us time to ensure your vehicle is spotless before collection. However, we will do everything we can to accommodate short-notice bookings and get you on the road as quickly as possible.

Fairview Vehicle Hire provides a dedicated shuttle service from Heathrow Airport to our Bray branch. The shuttle stops at every terminal, allowing you to walk directly from the exit to the bus. You will notice Fairview signs when you exit the terminal, directing you to the shuttle stop. You can include the free shuttle bus add-on when booking your van online to reserve your seat. For van hires at Heathrow Airport, you must return the vehicle with the same level of fuel as we initially provided. Please note that if your returned van contains more fuel than you left with, we will not refund the excess. In the event a van is returned with less fuel than agreed upon, we may incur charges. We multiply these charges by the AA’s highest recorded fuel price on the day of your return. We will also charge a 20% administration fee. If you need to cancel your van hire booking at Heathrow Airport, we can offer to rearrange your booking to another date without charge. However, if this is not possible, we charge 30% of the total booking cost. If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of your collection date, or during busy holiday periods, we will require a full payment.
