To hire a car at Heathrow Airport with Fairview, you must be aged between 23 and 69. This is to ensure the safety of you and your passengers while driving our vehicles. Please note that hirers below the age of 25 are subject to a Young Drivers’ surcharge. Contact for more information about this additional cost. To rent a car at Heathrow with Fairview Vehicle Hire, you need:

• A full, valid photo driving licence (held for at least two years with no penalty points or convictions).
• A valid passport.
• A DVLA check code (so we can see your driving record for eligibility purposes).
• A credit card or debit card in your name (for your deposit and hire).
• Proof of address, dated within the last 3 months (if paying by debit card).

• Standard Protection includes valet cover and £300 excess per incident of damage or theft.
• Collision Damage Waivers reduce your vehicle excess to £500.
• Premium Protection reduces your liability to £100 excess per incident.

Premium Protection offers the same benefits as Standard Protection, with added windscreen cover and unlimited mileage. If your flight is delayed, don’t worry, your hired car is safe. We will request your flight number so we can track your flight and automatically keep your vehicle to ensure it is ready when you land.

If your flight lands outside of our branch operating hours on your booked collection day, contact us as soon as possible to arrange collection on our next business day. We recommend booking a hotel room in advance, so you are prepared to collect your car the next day. Fortunately, there are countless hotels in the vicinity of Heathrow Airport for you to choose from! These checks include proof of address, return travel tickets (if you are flying out of the UK) and a premium deposit payment. When you return your hired car to our Bray branch, it must contain the same level of fuel as we initially provided. Please note that we will not refund any excess, and we may charge for not fuelling enough. We multiply these charges by the AA’s highest recorded fuel price on the day of your return, and add a 20% administration fee. Fortunately, there is a 24-hour BP petrol station two minutes away from our branch, so you can make a quick pit stop on your way to return your hire car and avoid the fee!

When you cancel a car hire at Heathrow Airport, we will offer to rearrange your booking with no charge. However, if this is not possible, we will charge 30% of the total booking cost. Please note that if you cancel your booking within 48 hours of the collection date, or during busy holiday periods, we will require a full payment.
