What type of insurance is included with a commercial vehicle hire?
Our commercial vehicle hire includes basic insurance coverage, such as third-party liability and Personal Accident Insurance (PAI). For business use, we also offer a car hire excess policy, which covers costs not included in the basic insurance as well as business insurance. This coverage is valid throughout the rental period and you can extend it if necessary.

Can I add an additional driver with a commercial vehicle hire?
Yes, you can add an additional driver to your commercial vehicle hire. Please note that any additional drivers must meet our standard requirements, including providing valid identification and being at least 25 years old (age restrictions may vary depending on the vehicle type). If the correct identification is not provided, the additional drive may be declined.

Is there a mileage limit on commercial rentals?
We offer both limited and unlimited mileage packages depending on the vehicle and rental terms. For rentals with mileage limits, additional charges may apply if the limit is exceeded. We will clearly outline the mileage terms in your rental agreement. For more information, contact us and we’re happy to discuss the best option for your needs at the time of booking.

What is your policy if the vehicle breaks down or has a mechanical issue during the hire period?
If your commercial vehicle experiences a breakdown or any mechanical issue during your hire, please contact us immediately. All our vehicles come with roadside assistance. For breakdowns, you should contact our emergency number provided in your rental agreement. Any vehicle repairs must be carried out by a pre-approved garage authorised by Fairview. If the issue is caused by driver negligence, you may be responsible for repair costs. Please ensure the vehicle is used appropriately throughout your hire period.

Can I drive a commercial vehicle abroad?
Yes, with prior approval from us you may be able to take our commercial vehicles abroad to Europe at an extra cost. Please inform us of your travel plans ahead of time so we can prepare the necessary documents. It’s important to note that breakdown assistance does not cover vehicles outside of the UK. If you’re driving to Europe, you will need to arrange 5-Star breakdown cover with a provider such as the AA, RAC or Greenflag.

Can I add business branding on Fairview commercial vehicles?
We understand the importance of branding for businesses. Any permanent alterations to the vehicle’s appearance, such as painting or applying stickers, are not permitted. Please contact us in advance if you wish to add branding so we can guide you on what’s possible and ensure it’s done within our guidelines
