Fairview’s commercial vehicle hire includes basic insurance coverage. Basic coverage includes third-party liability and Personal Accident Insurance (PAI). However, we also offer a car hire excess policy for business use. This insurance covers costs not included in basic and business insurance.

Can I add an additional driver with a commercial vehicle hire?
Yes, you can add additional drivers to a commercial vehicle hire. However, all additional drivers must provide valid identification and be at least 25 years of age. Please note that age restrictions may vary depending on the type of vehicle, and a surcharge will apply to those aged below 25 and over 65. You must submit the correct identification upon request. Failure to do so may result in our declining the additional driver.

Is there a mileage limit on commercial rentals?
As standard, our commercial rental mileage limits are capped at 250 miles per day. However, we offer add-on unlimited mileage packages for qualifying vehicles. What is your policy if the vehicle breaks down or has a mechanical issue during the hire period?

Can I drive a commercial vehicle abroad?
With prior approval from the Fairview team, you may drive our commercial vehicles in Europe at an additional cost. Please inform us of your travel arrangements as soon as possible so we can prepare the necessary documentation on your behalf. Please note that our breakdown assistance services do not cover your vehicle when driven outside of the UK. By informing us of your plans in advance, we can arrange 5-star breakdown cover with international providers, such as the AA, RAC and Green Flag.

Can I add business branding on Fairview commercial vehicles?
Any permanent alterations to a Fairview vehicle’s appearance, including painting and applying stickers, are not permitted. However, we do understand the importance of branding for businesses. Please let us know in advance if you wish to add branding to our vehicles, so we can agree on what is possible and within our guidelines.
